The State Cost Share program accepts applications year round.  However, they are only ranked and submitted for approval once a year, usually in the fall.   Applications for the next funding period are available at the Soil Conservation office and must be completed and returned to us by October 18, 2024.  There are several steps to this application process so it is beneficial to start it early.  One important thing to know about this program is that it CAN NOT be used for improvements that have already been started.   Approval must be received before the project can be started, in order to receive any funding.  Cost share rates are a maximum of 75 percent of the actual installation cost of the practice not to exceed $20,000 per year.  If you are interested in learning more, visit the state website at eec.ky.gov/Natural-Resources/Conservation/Pages/State-Cost-Share.aspx  or give us a call at 502-538-0628.
