Starting Tuesday, August 10, 2021 we will begin our Cover Crop giveaway.  We will be offering, for Bullitt County residents, up to 3 lbs. of seed to use as a cover crop in their garden.  We have 3 varieties available:  Austrian Winter Peas, Annul Ryegrass and Wheat.  There are many benefits of using a cover crop on your garden plot. Cover crops help with soil erosion and compaction and may be left in the garden to be used as mulch and organic matter.  Approximate coverage is 3 lbs. per 1000 square feet.  Please have an estimate of the size of your garden when you come to pick up your seed so we may bag the amount you need.  This is a first come, first served program.  So, when the seed is gone, the program ends.  If you have any questions, give us a call at 502-538-0628
