We are pleased to announce that our 2022 Master Conservationist is Mr. Lewis Kerberg. Mr. Kerberg has worked with Soil Conservation, the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) and the Division of Forestry to make numerous improvements to his land. Mr. Kerberg has implemented timber stand improvement and wildlife habitat programs on his property. Funding from the Kentucky Office of Ag Policy, through the County Ag Incentive Program (CAIP), assisted Mr. Kerberg with equipment purchases used for lumber production from his own trees. Several Bullitt County Soil Conservation Board members, NRCS staff and Mr. Kerberg's father gathered for the award presentation and a chance to view the improvements that have been made. Board Chairman, Bill Harned, was on hand to make the presentation.
